/space pitch
Entrepreneurship Accelerator for an Equitable Future
About
The /space pitch is for students seeking pathways into entrepreneurship but aren’t quite sure of how to get there. Our focus is on imbuing students with the skills to not only create their own venture models but also how to create long-lasting equitable frameworks that can transform the landscape of the Aerospace Industry.
Hosted during Space Frontier’s /space track at the International Space Development Conference (ISDC) in Arlington, VA, attendees will spend their time participating in a business plan accelerator, where they will connect with industry leaders and experts to design a business plan, associated pitch, and presentation. On the final day, attendees, judged by a panel of experts, these student teams compete for prizes and exposure in front of a live conference audience.
Applicants
Are you a student interested in entrepreneurship and want to gain an incomparable experience? Then, we’re looking for you! Our inaugural /space pitch Competition is for students who are looking to learn the ins and outs of business planning in order to create lasting impact in the space industry. We want our competitors to demonstrate their passion, drive, and willingness to learn throughout the three day weekend. You’ll be working in teams, composed of students like you, that you’ll meet during the conference. Each member of the team will fulfill a separate team role in either Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), Marketing, Finance, or Research & Development.
Prepare for in-depth training, workshops, and mentorship opportunities during this intensive 3-day session. At the end of each day, your team will be asked to submit deliverables that move you closer to your final pitch at the culmination of the event. Don’t have prior experience in entrepreneurship best practices? Don’t worry, we’ll be guiding you every step of the way!
To apply, please fill out our application so we can learn a little bit more about you, your interests, and why you would like to participate. Please note that applications are due on May 8th, 2022, at 11:59 PM EST!
