As President and CEO of the Aerospace Futures Alliance, Kelly works closely with multi-national OEMs, suppliers and other aerospace businesses to advance the aerospace industry in the Pacific Northwest. In this role she oversees advocacy representing more than 1400 aerospace and related businesses, driving successful outcomes for high-impact legislative agendas, including year-over-year retention of $8.7 billion in tax savings for the industry, and policy to enhance the business climate in WA, increasing prosperity for industry businesses and their more than 226,000 workers.
Kelly meets with WA state and international dignitaries in the interests of aerospace. Currently, AFA is co-leading-with the Department of Commerce and Labor Unions-the state’s efforts to win the design, build and assembly of the highly anticipated next mid-market airplane for Boeing.
AFA works across aerospace’s spectrum of aviation, space and UAS sectors. The Board of Directors and members represent the strata of industry in WA-the global hub of aerospace-from the largest aerospace OEM in the world and commercial, defense, emerging commercial space, and UAS sector suppliers, to airlines, MROs (maintenance repair operators), international and global manufacturers, design firms, R&D entities, aftermarket businesses, robotics/AI entities, tooling and small manufacturing businesses, and jet completion businesses.
