Beth Vaccarezza has served the Department for International Trade (DIT) since March 2017. As the commercial arm for the UK Government, DIT is responsible for securing UK and global prosperity through international trade and investment and promoting free trade policies. Based in the British Consulate General in Los Angeles, Beth sits within DIT’s Space Team to bridge commercial and policy linkages between the UK and US space industries. She works across government departments and industry partners to achieve these aims, including the UK Space Agency (UKSA), UKspace, Department for Transport (DfT), Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), and Catapult Centres. In addition to space, Beth facilitates linkages within the aerospace, defence and security industries. Prior to joining DIT, Beth held positions in economic development and strategic public relations in Washington, DC and Los Angeles County.
Beth holds a Master of Public Policy Degree with a concentration in Economic Development and International Relations from Pepperdine University School of Public Policy, and an Economics Degree from Ave Maria University. Beth has the distinction of being named as an Emerging Leader within the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
In her free time, Beth can be found either reading an historical biography and industry insights, or listening to the latest episode of Freakonomics or Revisionist History while exploring the sights and sounds that Southern California has to offer.
