SATELLITE 2017 and Space Frontier Foundation present Startup Space

What’s the next great aerospace idea? Find out at SATELLITE 2017’s Startup Space event, a Shark Tank-style pitch competition, on March 7 in the SATELLITE Unveiled Theater, Exhibit Hall.

“One of the SATELLITE show’s most important missions is to cultivate and support future generations of entrepreneurs and innovators,” said Jeffrey Hill, chairmen of SATELLITE 2017. “The launch of the Startup Space entrepreneur pitch contest continues that mission and is a project that means a lot to us personally. One of this year’s contestants is going to walk away from Startup Space with invaluable resources and investments that could help realize their visions. This is a fantastic event that wouldn’t be possible with support of fantastic organizations like Space Frontier Foundation, Ball Aerospace, Advantech Wireless and our group of prize and media sponsors.”

Hosted in partnership with Space Frontier Foundation, Startup Space gives twenty space entrepreneurs – from college students to established startups – the opportunity to pitch their business and technology ideas to a panel of highly accomplished space professionals, investors, thought leaders and fellow entrepreneurs.

“The only way to open the space frontier is through constant innovation,” said Jeff Feige, chairmen of the board, Space Frontier Foundation. “Enabling entrepreneurs through events like this is one of the core missions of the Space Frontier Foundation. We are thrilled to see so many promising new projects at Satellite 2017.”

The grand prize winner will receive guaranteed private meetings with investor groups at Space Angels Network, RRE Ventures and Astia Capital, as well as free full-access admission to SATELLITE 2018 and NewSpace 2017 and an interview in Via Satellite magazine. The winners and prizes will be awarded on Wednesday, March 8, 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the SATELLITE 2017 awards reception.

Startup Space is your chance to witness a new generation of up and coming space professionals and companies develop the ideas that will change our world and learn about startup community cultivation, global entrepreneurship, young professional recruitment and more.
